Christmas morning 2012

We were in the process if selling our house, and didn't know when we might move so we used these two tiny trees. Alexa loved everything she got!

Seeing Santa 2012

December 8. Santa came to Richard's work for pictures!! We got to sit in an ild fire truck too. Alexa was having nothing to do with it.

December 14. Santa came to see us at Grandma Hoecherl's ward party. Alexa slowly trusted him, and finally sat on his lap!! Yay!

December 24. Santa came to our family Christmas party. He gave each kid a gift, and asked them what they want. Alexa did so great!!

Each time she asked for a choo choo train. A while ago I asked her what she wanted, she said a choo choo train, and she stuck with it. It was random but she knew what she wanted!

Christmas Eve 2012

We had our annual family Christmas party at Melanie's. Santa came and told us a story and handed out gifts to all the kids. The cousins exchanged their gifts (we draw names).  And the white elephant for the adults was awesome. We also dud an ugly sweater contest, which was funny but didn't amount to much. My moms sweater actually looked cute in her, Chris and Richard wore ugly girl sweaters. And Ben and Dome got sweaters made with 1. Greg and Annie's picture on it and 2. Chris and Joey's picture on it. It was so funny. We had such a fun time! It was great to see those we don't get to see often, and to spend time as a family. 

Christmas Eve 2012

Every year my family does a charity instead of the adults exchanging gifts. My mom one Christmas suggested we do some sort of charity each Christmas instead of exchanging gifts as adults because we are so blessed and there are others less fortunate than us. We all readily agreed, and so it began. The first year we did blankets and toys and such to Huntsman Cancer Institute, and Primary Children's Hospital since they have been an important part of my families lives at different times. They were awesome! At Primary's they took a picture, thanked us profusely and sent us a thank you note with the picture! Huntsman did the same, without the picture. We decided from then on we would take turns picking the charity. Since my mom decided the first year, we would start the next with Celeste. Celeste chose the hospitals again. They weren't as awesome the second time around but we still got some pictures and felt great. the next year Melanie chose to do a foster shelter. It was awesome because the kids got to be so involved putting together the stockings! Richard, Alexa and I later went with Mel to deliver the stockings. It was cool for Richard because he went through that foster shelter. They were very thankful, and grateful if our willingness to help do full stockings, and separating them into boys and girls. This year was Joeys turn. He and Stacia found a family for us to do. They got the information we needed to shop, then we got the stuff and got everything wrapped. We were able to have Santa go with to deliver everything to this family. The kids were so excited and the mom was so thankful! I love so much being able to help people out by taking a little cash and some time to help those in need. I'm also very grateful for a mom who is kind, and wise enough to realize the potential we as a family had for helping others. And for a family who is willing to give up their gifts to help others. Merry Christmas!!

Crazy hair

Family outing

December 8, 2012 we had a fun family day. Hanging out with our favorite girl, going to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. The aquarium is one of our favorite places to visit. We love seeing all the aquatic animals!

Zoo lights!!!!

December 6, 2012 we went to Zoo Lights!!!! It was so fun! Alexa's face lit up as soon as we got there and she saw the lights. She ran over saying "wow!!" Definitely worth repeating! We got to see some of the animals, not many, but some. Richard and I were really impressed too! Good job zoo.

December 4, 2012 on our way to a friends house in our neighborhood, we saw a random chicken walking around.
