Alexa's post

March 30, 2014. We are sitting in church, I am updating my blog a bit while listening to the wonderful talk on the B attitudes. Alexa asked if she could write her name. I told her yes, she is getting good at writing her own name, and recognizing the letters. Below is her post.

Alexa hcfydudicixhcjndhxvxhzzvxxxcbcccjcjjchcguggfgxffgjbhhhhgfghhfhjfbbvb b mgbxtshxxvxvbbafihdh gghghhnggd.       Ifdyhxchchcjx.  Bcc vccbnnjmnnmnn v. V. Vcxhzgvjvjvigchnkckcckbgghjvggtygvhjnhhhvvvggdggjbhvvcxvvbbbbnbv

I asked her what it said, she responded, "I don't know, I don't know how to read" I asked her if she tried to write something or just pushed letters, she said she just pushed letters. So cute, I love her so much. She is getting so smart.

Poor Shelby

March 28, 2014. My girls were rolling around on the floor today, hugging and laughing, having fun. All of a sudden Shelby started crying hysterically!! A thought came to my head that Alexa but Shelby, but I didn't know. I asked Alexa what happened, and after stuttering over an excuse for a minute she said, "I bit Shelby." I was so mad! I told her to go to time out while I calmed down and looked at Shelby. She bit her hard!! Brought blood to the surface, right on her armpit. Shelby calmed down so I called Alexa out and told her to come here. She asked why so I told her I was going to bite her! She pulled back saying no, so I told her not to do it to her sister if she didn't want me to do it to her. I showed her Shelby's owie, then she sat in time out again. Shelby started crying again, I think she was mostly sad for her sister though. After Shelby stopped crying she got down and went looking for Alexa to play. I walked in the room to Alexa saying "oh, Shelby, let me see." She pulled away from Shelby when I came in so I helped her see it. I asked her if she was glad she hurt her sister like that. She said no and said sorry to Shelbs.
I couldn't believe it!! Alexa has never been one to bite, only a couple times ever! Hopefully she won't do it ever again.

Feeding the crazy ducks

January 16, 2014. Kira invited me and my girls to go feed the ducks with her and her girls today. We were getting ready to leave and Alexa announced she had the bread to feed the ducks. I looked and saw her holding an almost full loaf, silly girl. I put it back and got the buts we always set aside for the ducks by our apartment.  We went to a parking strip along side the Jordan River, located at 5770 S. 1300 W. Kira was running a bit late so we waited in the car, Alexa got out of her seat and came and sat by me. There was one other car there, a guy and his kids or grand kids were feeding the ducks. We watched them some, the bird some (there were a lot), and the sheep through the fence on the other side of the river. Alexa was asking me about everything in the car, what it is and what it does, and kept watching out the back window for Kenzie to come. Alexa started laughing and said she could see someone's belly. I looked in my side mirror to see what she meant. I saw one of the little boys with his footed pjs zipped down past his naked belly to his naked who-who, peeing!! Awesome, just what we wanted to see!! Kira and girls got there so we got out and started feeding the ducks. The girls climbed up on a piece of wood tied up to the fence. We brought some bread, and Kira brought bread and seeds. At one point the ducks got spooked by something and flew out of the water. It was weird to see them all out. We later noticed a mossy covered tennis ball floating down the middle of the river, innocently scaring ducks as it went. After we used all the bread, Kira let us have one of the two bags of seeds, the ducks went crazy for them! The birds would come right up to our feet to get what was dripped, they didn't care. Shelby slept through it all, for which I was glad, so she stayed in the warm car. There were so many ducks, it was crazy. We had a lot of fun.
