Easter egg hunt

March 30, 2013. We had breakfast and an Easter egg hunt at our church. The kids got to decorate bags for their eggs after we ate, then we went outside to the lawn where the kids went to different spots according to their age. When everyone was there, they let the kids find their eggs, they each got eight. After Alexa found her eggs, we played at the park for a bit. When we were finally able to pry our kicking and screaming Alexa girl away from the slide, we went to the mall (Valley Fair) to see the Easter Bunny. Alexa was excited to meet the bunny, Shelby was indifferent. They both did great!

Smiles

March 29, 2013. I love watching my girls interact. Alexa loves getting smiles from Shelby, and Shelby loves to give them to Alexa. After bath time, Shelby's hair got a bit crazy. It was pretty cute though! Then I realized Shelby actually has enough hair to do something with, so we put it up in her first tiny adorable ponytail. Alexa was so bald for so long, it took over a year before we could really do anything with her hair. Later, we went to Grandma's house to visit. Alexa fell asleep in her car seat with her glasses on upside down. She always wears them upside down, and I think it's too cute to fix. Karla was watching Kenzie and they came over to visit at Grandma's house. Alexa and Kenzie were having such fun hiding in the pantry at the top of the stairs! They thought they were so funny, silly girls. That night Shelby snuggled up to her musical snuggle bug. A fun day with my beautiful girls.

Random

March 28, 2013. Alexa was watching a movie, I looked over to see her curled up asleep, half on half off her couch. Such a cute girl.

Filling Easter eggs

March 27, 2013. Alexa, as always, was such a huge helper. She helped me look through, and fill the plastic eggs for the Hoecherl Easter egg hunt next Sunday. And she helped watch her sister while I finished. She was also great to help me eat some of the candy!!

Sooo tired

March 24, 2013. My little Shelby girl was so tired for her nap, she fell asleep on Richard's lap. Such a sweet heart.

Sisters

We love our girls and love to see all the love between them. Shelby seeks Alexa out whenever she knows she is around. And some of the best smiles Shelby gives are reserved for Alexa. And Alexa loves to help, and give hugs and kisses to Shelby.

Strike a pose

Alexa is such a ham, and loves to strike a pose for the camera. Such a cute girl.

Alexa turns three!!!

We had a weekend of parties. It all started about a week before; March 9, 2013, we went to dinner at the down-town Wingers, then to Disney on ice, the princesses! It was amazing!! So good, Alexa loved Rapunzel! The 16th she got a new big girl bike and helmet, a huge hit! Then on the 17th, the Sunday before her birthday, we had dinner and a party at Grandma and Grandpa Lugo's (Richard's foster parents), the 18th which was her birthday we had my family over. And the 19th we had Richard's family over. She had a blast playing with all the kids! Happy 3rd birthday Alexa! We love you so much and are so blessed to have you in our lives!

 

 

Another party

March 19, 2013. Richard's family came over for another birthday party. We got her a puzzle book, and some "Veggie Tales" movies.
