On March 18th, 2010 we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world. She was 6 lbs 2 oz., 19 in. long. She was perfect. We had her at 3:29 p.m. Her name: Alexa Cally Woods. We waited to find out the sex until she was born, so it was an awesome surprise. When she first came Richard didn't get to cut the umbilical cord, and I didn't get her set on my chest right away; her heart rate had been dropping, and she had too much fluid in her lungs and needed immediate attention. Luckily the NICU nurses were already in the room, due to my labor struggles so it turned out great. Anyway, due to all this, the nurse was keeping me updated about everything going on. She said "he looks good!" I exclaimed, "It's a boy?!?" "Oh, let me check........nope, it's a girl." Haha. She said she had something like four boys of her own so she was used to saying 'he'. It was so funny. And finally, we received our perfect baby girl into our arms.
